LED red light therapy is used professionally to improve healing after both invasive and non-invasive skin treatments. Whilst it is suitable to use after fillers, we recommend checking with your aesthetician to be sure, as you have to allow the filler to settle fully.

The device does not get hot, so there is no need to remove piercings. Using the device after removal will encourage the piercings to heal over.

In general, oral light therapy uses low-level LED light, which is non-ionizing and does not interact with metal. Titanium plates and pins are inert and do not heat up or react to this type of light, so they are typically not a contraindication.

That said, because your hardware is in the jaw area, it’s always best to confirm with your oral surgeon or dentist before starting, especially if your surgery was recent or you still have any sensitivity, inflammation, or healing in progress.

Yes — it absolutely works for men. Men’s skin is naturally thicker and oilier, but LED doesn’t rely on thin skin to be effective; the wavelengths in the LED penetrate to the layers where collagen and circulation happen no matter your gender. You can expect the same skin support: stronger collagen, more even tone, less redness and acne, faster healing after shaving or workouts, calmer inflammation, a healthier glow, and firmer skin.

Here are a few quick troubleshooting steps that often resolve issues with the PlasmaGLO LED Lip & Mouth Device:

1. Check the charge
   Ensure the device has been fully charged. A low battery can prevent the lights from activating.
   
2. Clean the electrodes
   Sometimes oxidation or gel buildup can prevent proper function. Please gently clean the metal electrodes on each part of the device and try again.
   
3. Insert the mouthpieces correctly
   The latex mouthpiece has a small notch that must line up with the bump on the outer device. If it’s inserted upside down, the mouthpiece will not light up. Also be sure the mouthpiece is firmly seated in the outer device by pressing it in gently until it lights up.

Lastly, it is completely normal to only see the greenish light on the white base. The infrared light is not visible.

No—this is actually expected and your device is working properly. Some of the LEDs emit 830nm near-infrared light, which is invisible to the human eye.

On certain settings (like the silver base), several LEDs are 830nm only, so they may look like they’re not lighting up at all. On the white base, you’ll typically only see the visible green light, while the 830nm LEDs remain unseen.

Even though you can’t see them, those lights are still actively working beneath the skin—this wavelength penetrates deeper to support collagen production, healing, and overall tissue rejuvenation.
