Exobalm FAQ
Yes. ExoBalm can be used to prep the skin before injectable and energy-based procedures. We refer to this as priming.
Priming typically starts about 7 days before a procedure and helps:
- Calm baseline inflammation
- Strengthen the skin barrier
- Improve overall skin resilience going into treatment
Always follow your provider’s specific pre-procedure instructions, especially regarding the day of treatment.
Post-procedure timing is provider-dependent. The extent and depth of the treatment being done.
Some providers allow ExoBalm to be restarted the same day, while others prefer waiting 24 hours. This depends on:
- Injection depth and technique
- Skin integrity
- Individual healing response
Always follow the guidance of the provider who performed your treatment.
Yes. ExoBalm works very well alongside retinoids and exfoliating acids, but application timing matters.
You have two safe options:
- Use them on different days, or
- Use ExoBalm in the morning and retinol or AHA at night
If combining in the same routine:
- Apply ExoBalm first on clean, dry skin
- Wait approximately 30 minutes
- Then apply retinol or AHA

ExoBalm is formulated with barrier lipids, calming agents, and anti-inflammatory ingredients and is generally well tolerated. Patch testing is recommended for very reactive or compromised skin.
Yes if possible. Refrigeration is recommended after mixing, but it is not strictly required. It is stable at room temperature as well.
For many users, yes — especially during recovery phases. If additional moisture is needed, a simple moisturizer can be layered on top once ExoBalm has absorbed.
Exobalm is good for 3-4 months after it is mixed. We do recommend storing it in the refrigerator.

I have many of Dr.Rajani's products. He really hit a home run on this product. I'm 68 years young and have been using the Exobalm for a couple of months. My skin is so smooth and even my lip lines and crows feet around my eyes have softened. I just purchased another Exobalm plus the Exomist spray and the ASCE plus pads. What a combo.
