Here is what is in the bottle, and why each part of it is there.
3 FORMS OF VITAMIN ARetinaldehyde + Retinol + Retinyl Palmitate

RECOVERY-MINDED LIPIDSAvocado Oil + Squalane + Vitamin E
THE PHILOSOPHYA complete formula — not just a bigger percentage
Stronger is not better.Consistent use without chronic irritation matters more than chasing strength.
One bottle, formulated as the whole retinol step.
THE PRINCIPLE
Stimulate, don't inflame.
Retinol is not the enemy. The mistake is piling unnecessary irritation on top of skin that is already changing with age.
A dose–response curve: results rise with retinoid strength and frequency, peak, then fall away inside a shaded zone where the skin is inflamed rather than stimulated.
RESULTSTRENGTH · FREQUENCY →STIMULATEINFLAME
01
Chasing strength
Higher percentages or more nights do not automatically mean better results.

02
Stacking irritation
Retinoids, acids, scrubs and low-pH vitamin C can become too much for one routine.
Diagram: three overlapping circles, showing active ingredients piled on top of one another.
03
Skipping recovery
Skin needs moisture, lipids and time to recover — not another active every night.

STRONGEST
General guide only; formulation and concentration also matter.
Skin that has been pushed too fast shows four things
Persistent redness
Burning or stinging
Flaking
A “windburned” feeling
If these show up: stop adding. Simplify. Reduce frequency.
Irritation is not a scoreboard.

Cleanse
Remove makeup, sunscreen and surface debris.
02Icon: drying lines.
Dry skin
Especially important if you are irritation-prone.
03Icon: a pea-size dose.
Retinoid
Use a pea-size amount for the face. Follow your prescriber for tretinoin.

Wait ~10 minutes
Give the retinoid a simple, uncluttered window.

Recovery
Use a recovery mist and/or exosome pads. If using both: mist, then pad. Pads add gentle PHA exfoliation with Korean exosome/EV-style recovery technology.
06Icon: a crescent moon.
Seal + sleep
Finish with a soothing moisturizer. Add a few drops of face oil as the final step if needed.
NEXT MORNING
Hydrate as needed and use broad-spectrum SPF. UV exposure is one of the biggest drivers of visible photoaging.
THE REST OF THE REPORT
START SLOW
1–2 nights per week is a conservative starting point. Increase only as tolerated. If you get the “windburned” feeling, reduce frequency.

SIGNS YOUR SKIN IS TOO INFLAMED
Persistent redness
Burning or stinging
Tightness
Flaking
Excess dryness
Moisturizer suddenly stings

New or increased sensitivity
IF THESE SHOW UP: STOP ADDING. SIMPLIFY. REDUCE FREQUENCY.

THE INEXPENSIVE RECOVERY STEP
Face oils can be simple, affordable and useful as the final seal.
#1: AVOCADO OIL
The oil I chose inside Retinol A. Rich, emollient and naturally high in fatty acids; a strong pick when skin feels dry or overworked.
Wax-ester-like feel; balanced and elegant on skin.
GRAPESEED
Lightweight and easy to layer.
SWEET ALMOND
Comforting emollient option for dry-feeling skin.

HOW TO USE
After moisturizer, press 2–3 drops over the skin as the final step when you need extra comfort. If acne-prone or very sensitive, patch test first.
WHAT IS CHANGING UNDERNEATH
Your face is already changing underneath the skin. In women, estrogen falls around menopause while collagen, hydration and structural support also change. Retinol itself is not “melting” facial fat. The problem is reacting to hollowing, lines or dryness by adding more strength, more frequency and more actives — then creating inflammation on top of aging skin.
Use mine or use yours. The principle does not change.
STIMULATE. DON'T INFLAME.
Educational only. Follow your prescriber for tretinoin. If pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding, ask your clinician before retinoid use. Use daily broad-spectrum SPF.
BEFORE YOU START
Questions and safety
Tap any question. Everything below is in the report.
01How often should I start?
1–2 nights per week is a conservative starting point. Increase only as tolerated. If you get the “windburned” feeling, reduce frequency.
02Is a higher percentage better?
Doubling a percentage does not guarantee double the anti-aging result. Stronger is not better. Consistent use without chronic irritation matters more than chasing strength. General guide only; formulation and concentration also matter.
03Can I use vitamin C on the same night?
L-ascorbic acid is commonly formulated in an acidic environment, often below about pH 3.5. On already-irritated skin another low-pH step may sting. Retinol A uses THD ascorbate, a lipid-soluble vitamin C derivative, built in.
04I already use tretinoin. Does this change anything?
Follow your prescriber for tretinoin.
05What if my skin is already irritated?
If these show up — persistent redness, burning or stinging, flaking, a “windburned” feeling — stop adding. Simplify. Reduce frequency. Do not use irritation as your scoreboard.
Moisture, lipids and recovery are part of the treatment strategy, not a reward for getting through the irritation.
06I already own a retinol.
Use mine or use yours. The principle does not change. Stimulate, don’t inflame.
What the report argues against is the way most retinol steps get built: one active, chased to a higher percentage, with nothing in the bottle to carry what that costs the skin — so the recovery has to be bought separately, layered on separately, and is the first thing skipped. Retinol A is that whole step in one bottle: three forms of vitamin A, THD vitamin C and recovery-minded lipids. There is no stack to assemble and nothing extra to react to.
07Where does a face oil go?
After moisturizer, press 2–3 drops over the skin as the final step when you need extra comfort. Look for cold-pressed, preferably organic, fragrance-free, with a simple ingredient list. If acne-prone or very sensitive, patch test first.
08Sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Patch test first, start at 1–2 nights per week, and increase only as tolerated. Do not stack a retinoid with other irritants on the same night while the skin is settling. If anything on the irritation list above shows up, reduce frequency rather than pushing through it.
09Pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding?
If pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding, ask your clinician before retinoid use.
The rule under every answer above: stimulate, don’t inflame.
THAT IS THE REPORT
The step it was written about
The actives and the recovery in one formula, so the recovery is not the part that gets skipped.
